Associate Minister of Worship and Leadership Involvement
Job Description
The Kingwood Church of Christ is seeking to fill the position of Associate Minister of Worship and Leadership Involvement. Responsibilities of the position include planning and directing all corporate worship assemblies, coordinating ministry activities and enhancing communication between deacons and ministry leaders. Ministers at Kingwood Church of Christ in general are expected to respond to the general pastoral needs of the members, teach Bible classes, partner when appropriate with Christian School of Kingwood and its staff, participate in staff and elder meetings and work as a team player with other ministers and staff to further the church's mission to Love God, love each Other and Serve the World.
The person in this position will develop a master plan of the schedule and focus for corporate worship. He will serve as the worship leader for all corporate assemblies and will oversee all aspects of the worship time including: 1) preparing audio/visual equipment and scheduling operators, 2) coordinating and scheduling presenters, 3) arranging communion preparation and scheduling servers, 4) training, selecting and directing the praise team, 5) supervising auditorium setup, etc.
The person in this position will also guide deacons and ministry leaders to develop and implement clear goals, and remove barriers for their full involvement. He will seek to increase communication to ensure all ministries are working together to further the mission and vision of the Kingwood Church of Christ. He will also assist the Senior Minister with the execution of plans for the spiritual growth of the members.
